Game Design Camp – June 10-12
Nothing fires creativity like gaming. We think about fun constantly, and we dedicate tons of time and money to enjoying ourselves. It’s a pity, then, that so many creative ideas for games never get off the ground. There’s a million reasons that a creative person doesn’t make their game a reality, but there are just as many strategies and tricks to make sure that your ideas don’t stay confined to your brain! This camp provides students with a basic introduction to game design. In it we’ll focus on fundamental design and story principles used by the industry’s legends to make their games compelling and immersive. We’ll delve into some of the science behind what causes a person to enjoy a game or experience, and then use that information to generate ideas, refine concepts, and provide a clear path to making your game a reality!
Dates: June 10 - 12, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. each day
Cost: $180 per student
3D Printing Camp – June 15-16
3D printing has set off a revolution in bringing ideas into physical reality. Creative people can use these devices to support art, work, projects, and entertainment at very low cost with a high level of quality. This camp is designed to cover two topics. First, to introduce campers to these machines and teach them how to use them, giving them immediate access to libraries of millions of 3D models. Second, to provide information and resources that will allow campers to design their own 3D models for printing. This allows students to create their own toys for fun, pieces and equipment for games, models for school projects, solutions for problems, decorations for rooms, the sky is the limit!
Dates: June 15 - 16, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. each day
Cost: $125 per student
Video Game Design Camp – June 17-19
Video games changed everything. Nothing is more popular for entertainment, with gaming providing more hours of engagement and generating more revenue than the entire film and music industries combined. This success is presently driven in large part by the rise of the indie game developer. This camp will introduce campers to tools that can be used for a variety of platforms, including phones, PC, and VR, along with next generation mediums (often referred to as XR) that get young creators ready for the technological advances of the near future! Campers will receive an introduction to (and copies of) the most popular professional development tools today, including Blender and Unreal Engine, so that they can either begin or level up their video game making endeavors!
Dates: June 17 - 19, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. each day
Cost: $180 per student
